How to specify the “write-to” bind target of the field in JS View Fields

with the following code, I would like to update the frontmatter end date.

{frontmatter^end_date} as var2

in the block above the ---, add a line with save to {where_ever_you_want_to_write_to}

Thanks, I updated the code as below and it works. However, whenever I run the code (basically to move the cursor to see the source), the end_date is deleted. Until I update the {first_date} again, it appeared. Is it a bug or any ways to solve it? Thanks.
