OS: ManjaroARM
firefox: v110.0
librewolf: v109.01
LinkHints: 1.3.1

Steps to reproduce

Librewolf:

  • Install Librewolf firefox
  • install linkhints
  • press Alt-J
  • no shortcuts apprear
My guess is that it is a tiny difference that makes it work in Firefox but not in Librewolf.
    Firefox:
  • install mozilla firefox
  • install linkhints
  • press ALt-J
  • shortcuts do appear

Description

In LibreWolf the shortcuts do not show up after pressing Alt-J. In Firefox it works fine on the same system.
All other extensions that I use work fire with both browsers including surfingkeys, which does a similar thing as LinkHints.

Debug info

No idea how to debug this, but if there is anything I can test to clarify this, please let me know.

Hi! I have never tried LibreWolf. I think your guess is correct, that it is a tiny difference that makes it work in Firefox but not in Librewolf.

You can try to look at errors logs. I recently wrote about how to do it here:

It seems like this can be caused by resistFingerprinting: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1536533. Personally, I just replaced the shortcuts to have Ctrl instead of Alt.
