"By default, everything you put into the project folder will be shared publicly."

If I think about someone learning about this for the first time, perhaps it would be good to add where it will be shared publicly (giving a sort of concrete end-goal of what you are working towards in this tutorial?

I like the idea very much! I should also add a few words about the scope, because "code sharing" sounds very broad, but this tutorial is actually about sharing analysis code (and not general purpose software).
