Files are read twice when first picked up: Windows 7.

For some reason, the file is being picked up twice. While it is working correctly on Linux that we tried. Thanks for your help.

When you say it is being picked up twice, what kind of event are you talking about (modify/create/delete) ?

I have got this running.  When I drop a file into the watched folder, it just prints out Something was modified in a directory twice.  So I am not sure if that is expected.  Thanks.

Can you try instantiating your monitor actor with:

import scala.concurrent.duration._

val fileMonitorActor = system.actorOf(MonitorActor(concurrency = 1, dedupeTime = 3.seconds))

And seeing if it helps?

I don't have Windows 7 (or any Windows for that matter) so I'm not sure how much I can help here.

That is strange; I wonder if the file is actually being updated twice by the OS?

I'll leave this issue open for now in hopes someone can figure it out.
