With snapd pinned at -10, it can be searched for in Software Manager. On opening it's page Software manager appears to hang indefinitely with the loading animation over the area where the install / remove button would normally appear.
It would be preferable if Software Manager could display a suitably informative message for negatively pinned packages, even if it's just a partial version of the string synaptic shows on attempted installation - e.g. Package snapd has no available version
