This odd behavior happened many times when I was installing software using the Software Manager.

Basically a second authentication window creeps underneath the first window which is in the process of being filled. After confirmation of the first one, software manager starts installing the software, completes the task and immediately goes back into uninstalling it.

At least that's what it shows on the main window. It actually doesn't really uninstall it. The installed software is fully functional.
Closing the second authentication window or cancelling it doesn't change this behavior.

I installed a dozen software, it happened 8 or 9 times, so this is not happening all the time, but quite frequently.
I am quite sure that this has nothing to do with a keyboard or mouse click bouncing issue.
Keep up the great job - love what you're doing.

I haven't been able to reproduce this yet. As a test I installed 7 packages closing Software Manager after each. I only get one authentication window each time and it doesn't goes into uninstalling after. Clicking more times on where the install button is and will be replaced by the remove button doesn't affect it. I can't say what caused this.

Did this occur from the very first package you installed on your fresh install? Or did you install other packages before you noticed this issue—whether you install those through Software Manager or other package management tool. Perhaps you installed something prior that plays a role in this issue.

@xenopeek : Sorry for the delay in replying you.
Yes this happened during the first use of software manager right after the initial boot when the system was newly installed.
I have tried to install some software again today and that odd behavior is not happening.
When it happened, I might have installed a package using synaptic, unfortunately I don't recall if it's the first thing I did or I used synaptic as a result of this odd behavior with software manager. That said I am very sure that the second authantication box belonged to software manager, not another app, and it happened several times in a row during that session.
I'm so sorry to not be able to provide you with more complete information.

It has happened again, I have a bit more info. It seems to happen when I do fast pace install without waiting until a previous install (within Software Manager) is entirely completed. I am still installing a bunch of small utilities that I am accustomed to, so I was basically picking and confirming install one after the other through the software manager window (click on software name, click on install button, wait until progress bar started, click on left arrow at top left hand side of the software manager main window, repeat the sequence again and again).
