Bug description

In a non-administrator account, a displayed setting value does not revert to the current value after an authentication failure following an attempt to change that setting value. For example, upon attempting to disable IPv4 in the Network Settings and clicking the "Cancel" button in the "Authentication Required" window, the "Wired" window shows that IPv4 is disabled when in fact it has not been disabled. Accordingly, the current value (IPv4 is still enabled) is not properly reflected which causes confusion.

Steps to reproduce

  1. In a non-administrator account, open Network Settings - e.g., click on the network icon in the panel and then click on Network Settings
  2. In the "Network" window that pops up, click on the "Wired" tab and then click on the gear icon
  3. In the "Wired" window that pops up, click on the slider for IPv4 to disable it (assuming it is currently enabled)
  4. Click "Apply" button
  5. In the "Authentication Required" window that pops up, click the "Cancel" button
  6. Repeat step 2
  7. In the "Wired" window that pops up, note that it shows that IPv4 is disabled when in fact it is enabled

Expected behavior

In step 7, the "Wired" window that pops up should display the current value of the IPv4 setting (i.e. enabled)

Additional information

To get the "Wired" window to show the current value of the IPv4 setting, the "Network" window must be closed and then steps 1 and 2 repeated.

I'm guessing this applies to other windows/settings that require administrator authentication. In other words, the IPv4 network setting was just used as an example.
