Bug description

The muted volume icon changes when an audio source is played in the browser. For example, if a video is played on YouTube, the muted volume symbol changes to a musical note and pretends that the sound is switched on although it is off, i.e. the volume is at 0 percent.

Steps to reproduce

Mute the Sound so the muted Volume icon appears and play a YouTube Video in Browser Firefox.

Expected behavior

The muted volume icon never changes until the volume is greater than 0.

Try with the Enhanced Sound applet: https://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/applets/view/306

Works very well, has many setting options and is very clear. Why is Enhanced Sound applet only an extension and not installed by default in Linux Mint? Even if my problem could be solved with it, the problem still exists in Linux Mint without the extension.
