About me

I was born in Shenzhen, but I only stayed there until I was 4 and spent my life moving around the world. I have lived in (>6 consecutive months) the following cities: Shenzhen (CN), Beijing (CN), Hongkong (CN), Kyoto (JP), Paris (FR), Melbourne (AU), Bridgewater (USA), Boston (USA). I do enjoy traveling around a lot, so far I have been to 29 countries across 6 continents. I am always open for suggestions on places to visit. For now, however, I love the atmosphere (in all senses) of Boston, and wish to stay in the city for a bit longer. P.S. I hold Chinese passport and am legal permanent resident of the USA.

Recreation

I started playing piano since I was 3 and almost majored in piano performance. I played piano, violin, viola, and served as assistant conductor for Rutgers Preparatory School's Upper School Orchestra. Now I am not a professional (or good) musician, but I do want to recommend some pieces that I enjoy.
- Chopin's Concerto No. 1, Op. 11 by Martha Argerich. I recommend anything played by Martha, as she is my absolute favorite of all time and a living legend.
- Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, Mv. III by Valentina Lisitsa, always a refreshing recording to listen to.
- Barber's Sonata Op. 26 by Browning. My favorite version was played by myself a couple years ago at a friend's concert (of course, as it was my own interpretation), unfortunately there is no recording for me to share with anyone.
- Stravinsky's The Firebird by Vienna Philarmonic. Breathtaking piece, with one of the most elegant endings.

Resources for CTCL Patients

I was diagnosed with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) in 2020, shortly before the pandemic started; ironically I was researching in T cell and lymphoma at the time. For the past two years I have been receiving chemo and radio therapies and I have been stable (so no need to worry about me :), for now). Here are some resources that might be very useful, or at least they have been useful for me:
- Mayo Clinic page for CTCL
- Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation's publications, particularly CTCL Facts and Patient's guide to understanding CL, also Understanding CTCL treatments
- CTCL Facts published by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
