Description

I am using Sail and i installed boost via sail composer require laravel/boost --dev. Then i executed sail artisan boost:install.
It didnt throw any error and it also created a CLAUDE.md file. It created a laravel-boost.mdc file in cursor rules. In Cursor and in Claude it does say that i am connected but that there are no tools available - only resources.

Steps To Reproduce

• sail composer require laravel/boost --dev
• php artisan boost:install
• Then i selected Claude and Cursor
• No errors shown up

If you are using sail there is one additional step at the moment.

you manually have to update the mcp config with above and this should work.
Feel free to reopen issue if it's exists after implementing above solution.

Thank you! Now it works. I tried ./vendor/bin/sail before but it did not work because i did not update "./artisan" to "artisan". Thats a stumbling stone...

Also one clarification for Claude Code users. I was having the same issue, and it would install the .mcp.json in the root of my project but was still getting the resources only display and not any of the tools.

But looking at the config settings it looks like it was using my root users ~./claude.json file for the mcpServers config settings.

Once I updated my root .claude.json with this configuration, it started working for me.

Not sure how to get boost to read my projects .mcp.json instead of my root, but thats a separate issue and maybe something with Claude and not Laravel Boost
