I think the environment.yml file used to initialize the PlantCAD virtual environment is missing nvcc dependency. I tried creating the PlantCAD conda environment which worked but then the setup.py script threw an error complaining during causal_conv1d installation that it could not find /usr/lib/cuda/bin/nvcc. After some time spent figuring this out, I reinstalled the environment and then installed nvcc (version 11.8 to match the CUDA version in the environment.yml) after activating the environment and that seemed to fix the problem. Just thought I'd mention this here in case others are running into the same issue.
