Removing traffic from mixed tram/vehicle does not work.

Describe the problem

Holding shift or ctrl on mixed tram/road does not work, it adds both, ie you can not forbid vehicles and only allow the tram track or vice versa.

Noteworthy is that I only tried to do this on roads where the road originally is mixed tram/vehicle, IIRC f.ex 2+2 without median (or if it was a 3+3, the point it is mixed when you build it).
Ie, I tried to remove the vehicles and only allow trams.
I have not tried to add traffic on a tram track where it is secluded.

Not sure more info is needed, it's pretty self explanatory.

Hi,

Unfortunately, what you are trying to do is not supported yet.
At the moment when you create connection between mixed lanes the type is calculated automatically, follows vanilla logic, selecting common type supported by both connectable lanes:

• mixed -> mixed = mixed
• mixed -> road = road
• mixed -> tram only = tram only
• tram -> mixed = tram only

Lane connection cannot trigger a change of segment lanes it connects.

To make it work the tool requires lane merge/split feature for the connection between the same connector points (lane ends), so effectively the same thing that is required for supporting bi-directional connections (split by connection direction instead of vehicle type and merge if both connection variants are present, so both directions and/or vehicle types).
I'm still working on traffic lights feature (taking ages), but after it, I was going to improve existing tool, which includes fixing this feature gap as well as implementing support for bi-directional connections.

I actually checked the activity and saw you added and removed a branch called "trafficlights somethingsomething".

Will this work in combination with "traffic lights expanded" (or whatever the mod is called)?

I'll leave this issue open until you have it resolved for you to reference, unless you want to close it, up to you. :)

If by "in combination" you meant that both mods could coexist, then yes (I hope), but obviously it will be impossible to use both mod on the exact same intersection
