Describe the feature you would like to see

I'm trying to use the firebase/firestore emulator but as I can see in the docs

Only the Auth and Realtime Database Emulators are currently supported in this PHP SDK.

and also I've read this comment (from 2020): stackoverflow

The SDK only provides a bridge to Google's official Firestore client (https://github.com/googleapis/google-cloud-php-firestore) so this is probably not something which can be provided through the SDK.

The StackOverflow comment you linked to is related to general Firebase emulator support, which is already partly implemented 😅

I'll keep this feature request open until I have the time to analyze it and can tell if and how this can be done in PHP, but please note that I can't prioritize it unless a GitHub sponsors has the same request. This would be a good time to consider becoming a GitHub Sponsor :)
