How to sort posts by year?

Somewhat new to github. I've been using this as a blogpost format at clishiyu.github.io . How to create tabs at the top that sort posts by year? (On the same level as home and blog page). Create a new layout, e.g. blogyear.html that will sort posts by year? Tried to Chatgpt it, but the result was it would include all posts no matter what I did.
