Can I run the HLC code on discrete data?

I want to provide the algorithm an input file with discrete variables in csv or txt format (not documents).
I get the following error:

"Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Exception: Unsupported file format"

The HLTA code supports data with binary variables only (i.e. variables with only two discrete states). If you have data with binary variables, you may try to convert them to ARFF format.
