Heart Rate

The latest Pro AirPods have the ability to automatically check your heartrate similar to a fitness tracker. Would be nice to support it some way or another, whether an in-app database or connecting to the Health APIs of the device.

All I could find was a toggle for Heart Rate Monitoring in the Bluetooth stack of iOS 19. I don't believe that is what starts streaming the heartrate. There must be something else that actually requests the data.

If someone has the following, then I can document it and add to Android

• AirPods Pro 3
• iPhone with iOS26
• Mac, for collecting the communication packets using PacketLogger

What is needed to development on this? An iPhone + AirPods Pro enough?

Figured out the packets and packet format a while back, but doesn't seem to work with Fluoride or BlueZ, only with Bumble. I can share the script that works with bumble if anyone's interested in testing.
