Bug: Game cards not loading images on slow internet

Bug Description:
On slow internet connection, game card images show broken icon instead of loading placeholder.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Throttle network to slow
2. Open the website
3. Look at game cards

Expected Behavior:
Should show loading placeholder while image is being fetched

Hi @kaifansariw, I can take this up under GSSoC’26 if it is still available.

Plan before PR:

• reproduce the broken/blank card image behavior with browser network throttling
• add a lightweight placeholder/skeleton state for game card images while loading
• handle onError with a fallback image/visual state so slow or failed image requests do not show the browser broken-image icon
• keep the fix scoped to the game card/image component only
• include before/after screenshots or a short recording in the PR along with build/lint validation
