Description

Reproduce:
create test.ipynb with 2 lines:

$\newcommand{\a}{\alpha}$
$\a$

Open jupyter in a conda env with jupyterlab-myst installed, the output is
.
But if I use a env with no jupyterlab-myst, it renders as $\alpha$.
