Project Status Update: Backend Integration & Authentication
Summary: We have successfully established the foundational architecture between the Next.js frontend and the FastAPI backend. We are currently in the final stages of resolving authentication handshake issues.

Accomplishments:

Infrastructure: Configured the local Supabase environment and established a stable connection between the frontend and backend services.

Authentication Flow: Implemented JWT-based authentication using Axios interceptors, ensuring user sessions are securely passed from the frontend to the backend.

API Security: Resolved initial connection errors by aligning environment configurations (SUPABASE_URL and KEYS) and configuring CORS middleware in the FastAPI application to allow cross-origin requests.

Technical Challenges Solved:

Token Handling: Debugged and resolved issues where the JWT was being malformed during transit, ensuring the backend correctly strips the "Bearer" prefix for Supabase verification.

Environment Configuration: Identified and fixed a critical configuration error in the Supabase URL that was causing storage-related authentication failures.

Dependency Management: Synchronized the Python backend environment with necessary ML libraries (e.g., torch) to ensure the server runs successfully.

Current Focus & Next Steps:

Finalizing Token Verification: The backend is now receiving the requests correctly; the final step is validating the verify_token dependency to ensure consistent user identity mapping.

Payload Validation: Performing a final alignment check between the frontend form data structure and the Pydantic models in the backend.

Validation Testing: Once the final validation check is complete, we expect the form submission to move from "Bad Request" (400) to a successful "200 OK" status.
