[Bug]: Can't fully interact with hidden menu items

Description

When I hover to re-display hidden items, I can click to drop down the menu, but some menus will have additional buttons within the dropdown to interact with. However when I try to click a button within the drop down menu, the menu disappears immediately. Citrix workspace item is a good example of this...

Steps to Reproduce

With the citrix workspace menu item installed and included in the hidden menu bar items...

1. Hover over hidden items to visualize
2. drop down the citrix workspace menu
3. attempt to select the user avatar icon in the upper right of the dropdown
4. you should briefly see the sub-menu items but the whole menu disappears after a split second
