MOD-TL3-XH (with Battery System) is it working with this software ?? #487

Hello all. Can anyone tell me and have it working (MOD TL3-XH) with batterysystem and use this nice peace software.
I ask, because i use this software with my MIN-XH and works well and i dont want to loose this nice features. But next time i like to upgrade to a MOD-TL3-XH (9000) Inverter.

It might be already in. The min layout seems to be the same as the mod layout.
If it is not there we can look if we can fix it (then I need a datarecord from your inverter).

I tried „TL3“ but this is giving some weird values. I can paste log data from Grott and/or parameter screenshots from Shine APP - please advise, what exactly you need.

I did some comparision to validate/identify data.

I am struggling with "Netzbezug" (import from grid).
=> What parameter is it (power I found "pos_rev_act_power"), but not the total counter.

Do you think the invtype = min is better?

Can you send me the original growatt data from the grott log. It will be more easy for me to determine the layout and see what is wrong.

Your have to look at the input registers (paragraph 4.2). Which registers apply to you inverter is described in the introduction (04 range is the used data records) . As said I think it will be a min type (I need the original data to determine if that is the case), so you probably need:

TL-X/TL-XH/TL-XH US（MIN Type）：03 register range：0-124,3000-3124，
3125-3249(TL-XHUS) ； 04 register range ： 3000-3124,3125-3249 ，
3250-3374（TL-XH）

@Firebird231 Did you managed to get the right values?
I have the same setup a MOD 4000TL3-XH with Smart Meter & Battery, running on a "MIN" Grott config version.
Load consumption is missing, and this would be for me a crucial value. I saw in "SPH" config it's included.

i can confirm using the same invtype (invtype=min) with 2.8.2 Beta version of Grott.

the item channel="mqtt:topic:default:15KTLGrowatt:ptoloadtotal" [profile="transform:JS", toItemScript="divideby10.js"]
linked to the MQTT Channel
stateTopic="energy/growatt", transformationPattern="JSONPATH:$.values.ptoloadtotal"

delivers the actual power used in the house (load) + inverter internal consumption .

In Grott protocoll it does show up as: (0.1 W)

BTW: "ptoUsertotal" is "Import from Grid power"
Actually im not using MQTT anymore, but the openhab binding "Growatt" from Andrew. He included all necessary data for KTL2-XH + APX. => https://community.openhab.org/t/growatt-binding/147357

Just to well understand the setup. I am using a Home Assistant on a Pi4 where I run:

Add-ons | johanmeijer Grott: Grott Beta branch (2.8) Current version: 0.1.5
HACS | muppet3000 Grott
Add-ons | Mosquitto broker Current version: 6.4.0
Integration | Grott

For my understanding the Grott (point 1 from above) is the entry point, duplicating the packages received from the Inverter, for the Shine Cloud and Home Assistant. Now in the same part the decoding of the packages is done, where I do not find the Load Consumption values. Hope I understood it correctly? I am new an at the beginning in HA.
I am a bit lost with all the "Grott" instances.

Also point 1. do you use the Inverter type = MIN or do you use the inverter mapping?

The datalogger is well decoded in the Grott log, but the inverter part not I always get following entry:
- Growatt packet received: <socket.socket fd=7, family=2, type=1, proto=0, laddr=('1xxxxxxxx, 5279), raddr=('xxxxxxxx', 35409)> - Data less then minimum record length, data not processed

Hope you could push me a bit in the right direction.
