I have followed the (tiny) install guide for installing yopass on arch linux (there was one line of description, giving the installing with yay). Although the yopass-server starts and shows that it runs under TCP port 1337, when I access localhost:1337 with a browser, I just get a 404 error.

I also have installed the memcached package - but to no avail.

What additional steps are needed to make yopass to work correctly?

I ran into the same issue when I naively tried to just run a proxy in front of yopass-server. If you look at the dockerfile https://github.com/jhaals/yopass/blob/master/Dockerfile you'll see that you also need nodejs (and yarn) to build) the website.

Of course, the easy way is to run the docker container.

It'd be nice to have a bit more info in the README about what's needed when you don't want or can't use docker, though.
