[JENKINS-70790] groovyjarjarasm.asm.MethodTooLargeException when running a declarative pipeline job

I have a declarative pipeline job with a single root element that fails with the exception below:

The issue might be similar to JENKINS-56500">JENKINS-56500 and possible solutions are described here. The exception message is not exactly the same hence I am opening this as a new issue.
