BurnStreamsAtRoads tool not alerting input DEM

Hi there,
I've just starting using these scripts for a hydrography project. My team would like to implement hydro-enforcing tools such as depression breaching and stream-burning. However, I'm trying to use the BurnStreamsAtRoads tool and I'm having some difficulty. My output DEM does not seem to be decrementing at the junctions of my streams and roads shapefiles. I've tried using both 2D and 3D shapefiles for the roads and streams.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you for these great tools!
