How to bind Alt key in nnn.h?

I'm looking at nnn.h to try to replace Ctrl+l with Alt+l to redraw (I'm using vim-tmux-navigator which occupies Ctrl+l and rebound Alt+l in the shell so want to use this binding to make it consistent being tied to zsh's clear-screen to mean "refresh the screen"), confirming it works with my terminal emulator.

There's no existing Alt binding defined to tweak from, anyone know how to implement this binding?

I don't think you can. Alt+key combo is used as shortcut for launching plugins.
