Changing the default branch to main #8

Description

@thomas-robinson

In order to be more inclusive, GitHub updated its branch naming so that the default branch would be named main in new repositories and provided a simple way for users to update their default branches. The default branch name master is outdated. My organization has a fork of this repository, and we would like to update our fork's default branch. I would like to request this repository's default branch be named main. Instructions can be found here https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/configuring-branches-and-merges-in-your-repository/managing-branches-in-your-repository/renaming-a-branch
