Following on from the content inventory created in issue #190 (available at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16FQihEzoLEdFZivKuPlmP5PpzMQ6FM5bvzOVXBhQ6VU/edit#gid=0 ) and the persona work happening under issue #203 (working document in https://app.mural.co/t/protocollabs6957/m/protocollabs6957/1564779785852/cf7669f3c1773508a811a3fa0eadfb99efb310bf ):

  • Conduct an open card sort in which participants discuss, rearrange, and remove/add navigation items in comparison to current navigation
  • Include focus on where and how materials addressing persona goals fit into a next-generation nav structure
  • Include focus on best fit for community-generated resources
  • Determine best next steps (further iteration at this level, user testing, etc) based on outcome of this initial exercise
  • Capture learnings in the overall Q3 2019 OKR test plan

Card sort to take place as a remote but synchronous Zoom call with Mural as a working canvas, and will be open to the community (added to the IPFS Community calendar and advertised via Monday IPFS call, community Slack, IRC, Discourse, potentially Twitter?). Exercise is tentatively scheduled for Friday 6 September at 1300 UTC -- watch this issue for final info on this.

Card sort happened, was super-interesting and super-useful. @ericronne and I will iterate on next steps next week, but updated this issue's description to include links to all the artifacts: notes, agenda, Mural doc.

Feedback sessions with @lidel and @meiqimichelle (plus ongoing iteration between @jessicaschilling and @ericronne) resulted in this Workflowy document of an initial nav structure for future rounds of testing. Those tests will be part of the overall beta site implementation effort -- see #273 for ongoing details. Closing this issue in the meantime; thanks all!
