What is being requested?

Generalized process for releasing telemetry data to OBIS-USA. Matt and Laura have been working with @sformel-usgs to align an example dataset using the ATN Satellite Telemetry template to the Darwin Core standard.

What is the requested deadline and why?

What is the current status quo (i.e., what happens if this does not get done)?

Data archived at NCEI will not be available to OBIS and GBIF. These are two major repositories and data access points we should be supporting.

What indicates this is done (i.e., how do we know this is complete)?

• Issue [dataset]: Animal Satellite Telemetry data bio_data_guide#145 is closed with a Pull Request is merged that documents the process for doing this. @MathewBiddle will finalize this.
• @ioos/marine-life determines who will run the script and the resources necessary to run them.
• @sformel-usgs will coordinate with @ioos/marine-life on the path for data transmission.
• Include a flow diagram for where data come from and where they go.

Provide a description or any other important information.

The from format in this context is from the IOOS ATN Satellite Telemetry Specification v1.0.

I broke my own rule and edited the description. This task is strictly to move the standardized netCDF data (generated for NCEI) into Darwin Core to share with OBIS-USA (then OBIS and GBIF via the IPT). I updated the description to further clarify that.

This should be adjusted to narrow the scope to only trajectory data. We can approach the others once we are ready.
