Funny thing happened. I implemented a native listener for gcm messages + headless JS task like this library has just as an experiment and found that it not only reliably wakes up the device when a data notification payload is sent - it also wakes it up to a point where the firebase messages are received by the old library. |

We have been experimenting with notifications on android a lot recently and found that while high priority data payloads are working most of the time, some devices never receive high priority data payloads when they are fully closed from the drawer (swiped away from recent apps / not open in the background).
However, when we send a fcm test push those devices are getting the notification even when they are not in the background.
Is there a reliability issue here that is unfixable? Or, is that behavior unexpected to y'all?
For some more context, we are on react native 0.63 and are not currently using the react-native-firebase library.
