Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Some example projects have nice and detailed project descriptions. They were used before introducing markdown, therefore not leveraging rich text correctly.

Describe the solution you'd like
Look at them and add markdown where appropriate.

Isn't this an issue for the website project (where the examples are actually hosted)?

It might be. You could use the fancy beta "Transfer this issue" function to move this issue.
