Use alpha-coded footnotes for pages with many footnotes

In addition to `[^1]` style footnotes, you can also use alphameric codes like `[^fiji]`, `[^trackmate]`, etc. For citation-heavy pages, this would be much more maintainable and less error-prone over time.
