GSS data have changed #7
Description
In the replication package for "The Gap Closing Estimand", there is a link to a GSS dataset that users can download by registering with the GSS. But the GSS website has changed, and that link no longer works.
Temporarily, users can go here and download the full GSS cumulative data file in Stata: https://gss.norc.org/get-the-data/stata
Then, you can restrict to the years 1975--2018. There are also some differences between this file and the original one I used; the new file has lower case variable names, for instance, while mine had upper case variable names.
At some point in the future, it would be good to update the replication package with instructions for people using the currently available GSS data.
