Branch diff view stop working after v2.3.8

Hi there,

The following things seems breaking after v2.3.8:

1. branch diff view
2. file history view, clicking the commit won't show the commit files on the left navigation bar.

@beatdigit please try the latest version (v2.5.5). Let me know if you still hit any issues.

This plugin has not been working fully for over a year for me. I can still see a file or folder's history but I can compare a holder with a different branch

@tedp what is the version? Can you also share the log? You can set the githd trace level to verbose in settings.
