Describe the bug
I can upload a GeoJSON file (38 MB) to create a project covering the entire India, but the Drawing mode restricts projects to a maximum of 200 km². This seems like a bug or an unintended limitation.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to 'https://fmtm.hotosm.org/create-project'
  2. Complete everything and click on 'Next'
  3. Select 'Upload File' and choose the India administrative boundary
  4. No warning shows and I can go to the next steps.

Expected behavior
A warning message pops up and blocks the next steps.

I am on Firefox for desktop version 135.0.1 (64-bit)

The drawing mode restricts projects to a maximum of 200 km². It is an intended limitation. We also avoid uploading AOI greater than 200 km2. The proposed issue is because the aoi is the collection of small square features; that's why it bypassed limitations (might have tested area of single feature).
