Please include:

• macOS version: (e.g., 14.6)

• What you were trying to do + what happened

If you’re reporting a bug, attaching an Export Diagnostics file (if available) helps a lot. Please review it first and remove anything sensitive.

Quick FAQ

• Is it free? The installer is free to download. A paid license is required to use the app.
• Does it work offline? Yes - it’s offline-first. Internet is only needed for activation (and any future optional checks).
• Apple Silicon only? Yes (M-series Macs).

What codecs and container formats are currently supported for input and output?

Honeymelon supports a wide range of video, audio, and image formats for both input and output, powered by FFmpeg and optimized for Apple Silicon. Common video containers include MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, M4V, MPEG-TS, and GIF, with codecs like H.264, HEVC, AV1, ProRes, VP9, and MPEG-2. Audio formats include M4A (AAC/ALAC), MP3, FLAC, WAV/AIFF (PCM), OGG (Vorbis/Opus), and Opus. Image formats include PNG, JPEG, WebP, BMP, and TIFF. For input, Honeymelon can open virtually any format FFmpeg can decode, auto-detects the source, and uses hardware-accelerated encoding (VideoToolbox) when available.
