Handling FHIR Messages for physician associated to hospital

Hello,

It is clear where we need to send the FHIR messages for general practitioners, but what should we do with requests from doctors/specialists associated to a hospital? These doctors often don’t have their own eHealth box. Should we send the FHIR message to the eHealth box of the hospital in that case?

My question wasn't so much about how we should set this up from an IT perspective, but rather about how we as a lab should know where the requester wants to receive their FHIR message.

@bdc-ehealth , we have the same question. For example: right now docter x is working privately and in hospital y.
For his requests privately, we send the hl7 message to "" and for his lab requests from the hospital we send them to ".". The requests for the hospitals are retrieved from the hospital information system.
How do we handle this situation with fhri?

This entirely depends on the request. Now, there is no FHIR request yet for a lab test, so the other means of request that you use right now should make clear whether the request is made by a physician associated with a hospital, or a physician in a private practice.

If you want to code that in the FHIR report that you are sending, you can put it in the ServiceRequest, property requester, which you can fill with a PractitionerRole, and that PractitionerRole can contain both a Practitioner and an Organisation.

From the report point of view, this should be knowledge that is already available in the lab, in the request data.

Thank you @bdc-ehealth : we do know, in the lab, where the report needs to go. The question is, because the requester is the same, the riziv number is the same, so the ehealthbox is also the same. How do we make sure the requests for the hospital end up there, and not in the soft of the private practice.

Bedankt Bart. Als ik het goed begrijp is dit een stuk dat niet beschreven staat in de json van het fhir bericht zelf, maar in de envelope waarin dit verpakt zit? Ik ga met deze info bij de leverancier meer info inwinnen. Tnx
