Any way to sort diagnostics by severity or to stagger them?

When my rust project (large workspace) doesn't compile I don't really care about HINT:s

And now ERROR:s get put way down on pages afterwards

It would be nice if they could be sorted by severity

Another idea is an option/view which only shows HINT:s if there are no WARN:s and no WARN:s if there are ERROR:s

Is it possible to configure helix/rustlsp to do this?

They seem to be sorted internally per project/file but I really only care about the global scope

I tried sorting the vec flat_diag in helix-term/src/command/lsp.rs by diag.diag.severity in my fork and it gives me the desired behaviour.

Would a PR making this an option be of interest?

You can filter your search by writing %<prefix of column name> <actual regex> so in your case it's: <your regex> %sev !hin.

The thing is though I never care about the default ordering in the view so this is still inconvenient

You can also apply the filter by default using this little hack in config:

[keys.normal]
space.d = "@<space>D%s error"

this maps small space-d to space-D and error severity filter via macro key binding, since I am usually looking at workspace diagnostics anyway.
You can of course remap further to have both space-d and space-D behave as usual but with filter.
