Cannot open on MacOS Mojave or Monterey

I am getting a permissions error when I try to open on a newer MacOS. I double-checked and even reset permissions for the entire Heartsome directory to no avail.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that a configuration file had to be copied from the Windows .exe and placed in the Mac Heartsome directory, but I cannot find the information where and what exactly. Maybe that's the problem?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
