Hello, first I have to thank you for this project, it's very interesting and really nice to play on the nano9k.

As the original pacman was vertical and the 4/3 monitor rotated in arcade cabs, I wondered if it would be possible to rotate the image 90° to get a fullscreen image on 4/3 rotated screen and full width image on 16/9 rotated screen?

Not easily. The video generator has explicitly been written to output rotated video Iike this. But most other pacman hdl variants out there do use the video sideways and full screen. So I'd suggest you use one of those as a basis.

Thank you for your answer. I did not understand you made this project to get it working on not rotated displays.
The support of hdmi + sound + usb controllers are great, that's why I landed on this project :)
It's sad we can't have a rotation. I'll check other projects.
About that, do you have an example of one running on tang nano 9k + hdmi as yours but with tate video ?

I sent your friend a test version of this pacman with portrait full screen video like you are asking for. I sent him the bitstream for the Tang Nano 9k. Please install that on your device and give it a try.
