|
| 3 | +Hello! You're welcome to join our subcommittee meeting and add to the agenda |
| 4 | +by following these three steps: |
| 5 | +
|
| 6 | + 1. Add your name to the list of attendees (in alphabetical order). |
| 7 | +
|
| 8 | + - To respect meeting size, attendees should be relevant to the agenda. |
| 9 | + That means we expect most who join the meeting to participate in |
| 10 | + discussion. If you'd rather just watch, check out our YouTube[1]. |
| 11 | +
|
| 12 | + - Please include the organization (or project) you represent, and the |
| 13 | + location (including country code[2]) you expect to be located in during |
| 14 | + the meeting. |
| 15 | +
|
| 16 | + - If you're willing to help take notes, add "✏️" after your name |
| 17 | + (eg. Ada Lovelace ✏). This is hugely helpful! |
| 18 | +
|
| 19 | + 2. If relevant, add your topic to the agenda (sorted by expected time). |
| 20 | +
|
| 21 | + - Every agenda item has four parts: 1) the topic, 2) an expected time |
| 22 | + constraint, 3) who's leading the discussion, and 4) a list of any |
| 23 | + relevant links (RFC docs, issues, PRs, presentations, etc). Follow the |
| 24 | + format of existing agenda items. |
| 25 | +
|
| 26 | + - Know what you want to get out of the agenda topic - what feedback do you |
| 27 | + need? What questions do you need answered? Are you looking for consensus |
| 28 | + or just directional feedback? |
| 29 | +
|
| 30 | + - If your topic is a new proposal it's likely an "RFC 0"[3]. The barrier |
| 31 | + of entry for documenting new proposals is intentionally low, writing a |
| 32 | + few sentences about the problem you're trying to solve and the rough |
| 33 | + shape of your proposed solution is normally sufficient. |
| 34 | +
|
| 35 | + You can create a link for this: |
| 36 | + - As an issue against this repo. |
| 37 | + - As a GitHub discussion in this repo. |
| 38 | + - As an RFC document into the rfcs/ folder of this repo. |
| 39 | +
|
| 40 | + 3. Review our guidelines and agree to our Spec Membership & CLA. |
| 41 | +
|
| 42 | + - Review and understand our Spec Membership Agreement, Participation & |
| 43 | + Contribution Guidelines, and Code of Conduct. You'll find links to these |
| 44 | + in the first agenda item of every meeting. |
| 45 | +
|
| 46 | + - If this is your first time, our bot will comment on your Pull Request |
| 47 | + with a link to our Spec Membership & CLA. Please follow along and agree |
| 48 | + before your PR is merged. |
| 49 | +
|
| 50 | + Your organization may sign this for all of its members. To set this up, |
| 51 | + |
| 52 | +
|
| 53 | +PLEASE TAKE NOTE: |
| 54 | +
|
| 55 | + - By joining this meeting you must agree to the Specification Membership |
| 56 | + Agreement and Code of Conduct. |
| 57 | +
|
| 58 | + - Meetings are recorded and made available on YouTube[1], by joining you |
| 59 | + consent to being recorded. |
