I would suggest starting adding a slide after Calling Rust from C which shows how to do the same thing using cbindgen. So we would have two slides: one for calling Rust by hand and one which shows how to do it with cbindgen.

...And my exams are about done now. I'm currently reading a bit about cbindgen itself. trying to code a few examples myself, is there any specifics on what we should include/what should be useful?

I don't know cbindgen in detail — so I would start by showing how the hand-written header in Calling Rust can be auto-generated. If I understand cbindgen correctly, this is what it can do for you? 😄
