Summary

This issue is unlikely to be included in the main plan immediately, but there is ongoing consideration of whether to allow access to ioctl through scripting. Currently, this is not supported, but theoretically, it is not impossible.

If access to ioctl is allowed, various scenarios could emerge. For example, tech enthusiasts might enjoy using ioctl access to monitor their peripheral devices, including storage, but in reality, much more could be done.

However, keep in mind that allowing ioctl access would raise several concerns, such as clarifying the permission process and other potential complexities.
