persistance no longer works with firefox after protonmail upgrade

Ever since Proton mail did their upgrade a few months back, the persist session feature no longer works.

In other words, I have to login and 2stage authenticate whenever I restart my browser, or close and reopen my mail - very annoying.

Forgot to mention, while I cant open the full mail without re-logging in, the "peek" function works ok, as does the new mail counter.

Further, this is definitely the web extension. I can make a bookmark within firefox for my proton-mailbox. If I use the bookmark, I'm into protonmail without entering a password, even if I restart my browser. If I use the "Open in Protonmail" link from the extension drop down, it will prompt me for a password everytime - even if I have just closed my protonmail, and kept firefox running. So perhaps its just the link the extension is using thats wrong/needs updating for the new version of protonmail..
