Hi all,
We’re in the early stages of figuring out how to manage GitHub repo and org settings in a more consistent, declarative way. Two tools we’re looking at are Safe Settings and Crossplane’s
provider-upjet-github
.We haven’t adopted either yet, so I’m hoping to hear from folks who’ve used one (or both) in practice. Specifically, we’re trying to understand:
What’s worked well?
What didn’t go as expected?
Any scaling issues, limitations, or sharp edges?
How do the tools compare in terms of drift detection, safety, and day-to-day use?
If you’ve gone down this road before, we’d really appreciate any lessons learned or general guidance. Thanks in advance.
