Hello Bito AI Team,

I recently installed Bito AI Code Assistant (ChatGPT GPT-4o extension), and my antivirus detected a trojan:

File: file_search.exe (located in .bitowingman/bin/tools/)

Threat Name: Trojan.GenericKDZ.109364
Antivirus: Bitdefender
I want to confirm:

Is this an expected file in the extension?
Has anyone else reported similar detections?
Any explanation would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you for reporting this issue. I want to confirm that file_search.exe is a legitimate component of the Bito Wingman extension.
We're currently investigating this and will update this thread once we have more information.

Hi @MDaniel07,

We have reached out to the Antivirus company to get the binaries whitelisted by going through their review process and we will keep you posted.

These binaries are tools used by Wingman to perform operations. file_search.exe is tool used to search for files based on your request to perform the tasks you have mentioned by Bito Wingman (which is Bito's Agentic assistant)
