At this point, GeoGrid itself and the underlying plugins does not support to handle 3d fields comping from other components. It would be nice to bring this support to enable rendering 3d fields using ParaView and maybe Python interface.
Describe the solution you'd like
Extend GeoGate NUOPC cap to handle 3d fields and also underlying plugins. We need to find a way to describe vertical layers or axis since Thera are multiple versions of it such as sigma, z, pressure coordinates. Maybe there could be run time options to convert/interpolate them to z but this could be tricky since each model has its own way to define the vertical coordinates.
