Problems with lag and stuttering due to storage location.

So, my geode usually has a lot of hiccups when loading a new texture, and it presents a disproportionately large lag when I enter the dual portal, which does not happen in the original gd.I wanted to know if anyone here can help me with this and if possible add an option to change the root folder where the game locates and searches for files, to the data folder for example.

are you sure it's not some mod that you're using?

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure the problem is geode, I've already run it in safe mode and I've tried reinstalling without any mods, but the problem persists. If you can help me with this, I would be very grateful, I can also provide any information you deem necessary to make this possible.
