".env.example:" throws errors when cloning the repo locally.

The new ".env.example:" file doesn't let me clone the repo onto my system. I am assuming that the issue is caused by the file name containing a colon at the end.

I can confirm this issue exists on Windows 10/11. I was unable to clone the repo due to the invalid filename. This PR fixes the issue for me.
