there are huge binaries in the repo

I just did a clone and found the output-apks directory is full of large binary files. This is not really the way to manage distribution. Have you considered removing those from the repo history?

also, I don't see clear usage instructions in the README, want me to add some?

just removing them from the latest commit won't make the repo smaller. if you want clone to be fast again, some history rewriting may be needed. there's a way to do it if you want help with that.

BTW,
I see there are new versions of the pebble app still published (Maybe fitbit are not totally evil afterall). If I D/L the new 4.4, does this still work or should I stick to the patched 4.0?
