Escape and Space keys not working

I just installed this flatpack on Fedora 38 and "Escape" and "Space" keys are not working (can't open menu or jump).
If I go in settings and try to assign these keys to any action, they do not register.
However, if I open a chat box and start typing "Space" works.

Minecraft run with mcpe launcher installed from the rpm repo does not exhibit this problem
